Effectively combining staff, workers, equipment and materials on a global scale, we draft detailed plans to minimize construction time and costs, while ensuring safety and quality. On site, we introduce appropriate construction methods for each project location and use a construction management system to deploy manpower efficiently.
Standard Engineering has many years of experience drafting construction plans and executing construction work for plants involving difficult or unstable circumstances. All our project personnel work as a team to deal with problems clearly and quickly, to achieve the plant’s completion on time.
1. Feasibility Study – Contract Bidding Phase
Situated throughout the world, in various environments, with various purposes, no two plants constructed by Standard Engineering are alike. Our database of project experience goes back 35-40 years and we apply this know-how to maximal degree, to analyze a plant’s unique circumstances and deliver an optimized construction plan and fixed list of costs to support our bid for a project.
2. Project Start – Beginning of On-Site Construction
Moving towards the start of actual construction, we create more detailed plans, select appropriate subcontractors from around the globe, and begin practical measures such as hiring necessary staff. Based on the schedule and procedure from the constructability study we drafted in phase 1-2, we create a list of necessary items, and contribute to optimizing the project as a whole through feedback to the upstream work, including engineering and procurement. Standard Engineering divides tasks based on WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), our own in-house system for optimizing logistics, net work schedule, and human resource mobilization. We run simulations using our in-house 4D CAD SYSTEM to create a highly detailed construction plan.
3. On-Site Construction – Completion
At our construction sites around the various places many workers of various nationalities are working at any given time. Assembling thousands of workers and tens of thousands of tons of materials from all over the world, we use control systems to ensure we stay on schedule at maximum performance. Using our in-house CMS (Construction Management System), we handle upstream information on engineering and procurement to predict the amount of work and the appropriate deployment of workers, and feed that back to engineering and procurement. Our perennial commitment to safety and quality goes without saying, and we have achieved a remark for safety earning the highest praise from our clients.
