Conceived in Bremen by DJ Ralf Behrendt, the group paired two coolly commanding vocalists (Stefanie Lange and Claudia Hossfeld) with a rotating cast of immigrant musicians, drawing on Eastern melodies, African rhythms, early drum machines, and synthetic textures. Their lone EMI single, produced by Dennis
