The fabric is a devoré or burn-out velvet in a wavy vertical stripe

Vintage 1970s Knit Dress Marni Knits Hand Loomed Canada 8 nylon but I don’t believe thatThis is a wonderful 1970s knit dress made in Canada. This 1970s knit dress is hand loomed with wide horizontal brown stripes against a tan background. This dress is made with a sailors style collar with long ties, wrist length sleeves and a below the knee length. The sleeves are gathered both at the top and at the cuff. The skirt falls in drapes at the bottom. It has no opening, so simply goes over the head. It is unlined. Label: Marni Knits Hand
