Not too big, not too small and not cut down so you can still get your legs under it. A useful table with an impressive hinge mechanism for the gate legs which I haven't seen before and can't find anything similar so far online, so maybe quite rare. The top may be very slightly later but still in keeping with the whole, above a single draw (with a later drawer pull but still old), moulded sides, above a bobbin turned base and bobbin turned
