The textures of dead trees are fascinating particularly those that become visible after the bark falls off

The sun on the side of our trailer  depicted an image of an Australian outback scene

Walking along the streets in Canberra I noticed the texture and colour of the bark of this particular tree

this winter scene of a ski village down in the valley is evident

View from the Boat Shed. Australian original art print. cicadas on stage The textures of dead treesOur corrugated iron shed at home has a piece of weathered plywood covering up an old window opening. Over the years the plywood delaminated. One afternoon the sun lit up the freshly exposed plywood, in which I saw the scene of a harbour with sailboats, so I decided to make it the subject matter of an old boat shed. The older plywood became the blind partly open. I detailed the window frame to help with the creation of this artwork. "View from the Boat
